A warm welcome to the website of Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron

At Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron, we take pride in nurturing an inclusive, safe and welcoming learning environment where every child is given the opportunity to grow, develop and succeed. Our aim is to foster a love of learning, the confidence to explore new ideas, and respect for one another and our community.

We are a school that values our Welsh roots and are proud to offer a bilingual education that prepares our pupils for a fast-changing global world. Our dedicated staff work closely with parents, carers and the wider community to ensure every child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential.

I strongly believe that emotional wellbeing is essential for every individual — whether child or adult — in order to fully engage with learning. That’s why we place great emphasis on the wellbeing of both staff and pupils, creating a culture of care, support and collaboration.

The school community is at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with the town of Aberaeron and the wider area to ensure a strong link between us, fostering a sense of belonging, responsibility and local pride. These connections enrich our pupils’ experiences and strengthen our identity as a school.

We love to think outside the box and are always looking for the most innovative and appropriate ways to provide the very best experiences for our pupils. Creativity, flexibility and ambition are central to our approach to teaching and learning.

Thank you for visiting our website. I hope it gives you a glimpse into the vibrant life of our school and the exciting opportunities available to our pupils.

Kind regards,

Mrs Anwen Lloyd-Hughes
