Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron pride ourselves on providing a friendly and creative learning environment which nurtures each individual child.  We offer all our children opportunities to grow in every aspect of their learning and development.

At dosbarth Meithrin we strive to instil curiosity about the world around us, self-confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.  The indoor and outdoor areas promote positive relationships, whilst providing  varied and creative    learning experiences.

We look forward to welcoming your child to dosbarth Meithrin.

Boromi

Did you know, by the time we reach our fifth birthday, 85% of our brain has reached it’s full growth. On this basis we have created a partnership with Boromi to launch a play library in the nursery class. Every Friday, the children in the class take turns to take a bag home for the weekend. The bags are full of equipment to create different activities based on the theme of imagining, exploring, sharing and inventing. The photos shared by parents are testament to the enjoyment the children have when using the bags

Forest School

We visit Llanerchaeron once a month and spend the morning in the forest.

The benefits of a Forest School include improved physical and mental health and wellbeing, the development of social skills, cognitive development, environmental awareness, independence and confidence. We believe that these sessions are a valuable addition to our class, enriching our children’s learning journey.

Beach School

The Nursery class enjoy weekly beach activities sessions. The activities vary weekly and include making dens, role play, using their senses and much more.
